What does being a Club member mean apart from supporting your local community?
Peace of Mind While In The Forest
The Rotorua Mountain Bike Club funds the First Response Unit in the Whakarewarewa forest. This is funded and paid for by the club - it is not cheap! This service is not just for club members - they pick up any forest user - however our data shows that Rotorua riders use the service lots! Being a club member gives you the peace of mind that you have supported the service, looked after other riders in the forest and is insurance for you in case you hurt yourself.
Cheaper Race Entries
Whether you're an avid racer looking to test your skills or just looking for a bit of fun, we have events for everyone to enjoy. Being a club member entitles you to cheaper entries to key events like the Low Key Super D, Good Buzz Night Shuttle and the Wednesday night XC races. These events are incredibly popular and run by the club - all proceeds go back into running the events.
Skills Sessions and Racer Development Program
The Club has paired up with Annika Smail, as lead coach, to deliver skills sessions for club members. Annika has been sharing her trade with local world class Enduro racers Daniel Self and John Richardson, who have come on board as coaches in 2017. For more info on this click here!
